Jaime Ortiz worked over 25 years for the Mexican Government in matters related to criminal justice, military justice, law enforcement and public safety in the national and international arena.
Prior to joining NNSC’s team, Mr. Ortiz worked for the International Division of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Mexico as an Assistant to the General Director of International Proceedings, where he supported matters related to international extraditions and legal assistance. He also served as legal advisor to the Deputy Prosecutor General for Legal and International Affairs, responsible for providing input elements to shape the international agenda of the General Prosecutor. He later was appointed as Mexico´s Deputy Legal Attaché on Strategic Information in Washington, DC, Regional Attaché in San Diego and Los Angeles, California and El Paso, Texas, strengthening law enforcement cooperation among the United States and Mexico.
Mr. Ortiz holds a postgraduate degree including a Master’s in Public Administration, a specialization in constitutional law, public policies and several other trainings in criminal law and foreign policy.
